Little words from Kikey...

That's a shame that I had been abandon this blog for a year!

I was so busy with work for 1.5 yrs (since July 2010).
Since, I am now on maternity leave expecting my first baby on March 2012.
I am deciding to recall all my memory to complete this blog about my travel.

Love,
Kikey

Christmas time!

This is my first white Christmas, the day before Christmas eve my friend and I went to City Hall to snapped some 'Christmas feel' photos. They decorate all the trees and restaurants have the decoration in front of them. It was so pretty! On Christmas eve, I joined my friend's host family to have a special German style Christmas eve dinner, it call Raclette, its origin from Swiss, dates back hundreds of years when shepherds tended their herds in the mountains, supplies were limited and meals consisted of cheese melted by the fire then drizzled onto potatoes and pickles. Nowadays the table raclette grill was create. It was a good experience for me.
The Swiss Raclette Grill have 2-level cooking unit. The top functions as a griddle to fry food. Underneath is a heating element that function as a broiler to melt cheese or brown food. First you put all the ingredients that you want then cover with the cheese (normally they use Swiss cheese) in a small pan (it's very cute pan) then put under the raclette grill, on top of the grill you can put some big things like sausages.

After the dinner I went to another Christmas party that held in my another friend's house. This party more like American style, everyone have to bring 1 dish, 1 drink and 1 gift.
