Met up with PGHK member

If you are one of the Penang Hokkien's member, then you must familiar with one of the famous PGHK's member, Pek Lulu. She was a guest for a lot of recording in PGHK. I love to listen the episode she joined, because she so good in speaking and I remember she had sang too... (^.^)

How we met each other?? From the following pictures you can see we at the airport...

Pek Lulu is staying at Huoston, Texas. Did I went to Houston? No. But if you still remember when I finish my 5 weeks trip, I flew from San Francisco to Boston, I had a transfer flight at Houston.

Yes, we meet each other at Houston Airport. She and her husband drove from their house (45 minutes away) to airport to meet me, and we only have 20 minutes to talk, cos I had to catch my next flight to Boston.

I am so touching that she came all the way to airport to meet me even though we don't have a lot of time to "sembang", at the beginning I was afraid that we can't make it, but lucky me, I had chance to meet her in person, she is so friendly!

Pek Lulu, it is so nice to know you...
Keep in touch... (^.^)

(She is also one of my blog reader!)

p/s: I look so terrible in this pictures!! I was so tired after my whole trip and I didn't slept for 30 hours before boarding to the plane...

Household Chores? Actually I don't like to do any household chores. How about you? But if you want me choose the household chores that I really hate, that is I hate mop the floor, cos it is so hard... First, you have to do more then one time, soap and then water. Second, to mop whole house, normally will take me more then half an hour, it cos my bacl pain. I really hope that in future we will have one machine that can help us mop the floor.

I will tag - Cinderella, Dora, Lor Mee.

Air Conditioning

My host family turn on the air conditioning compressor whole day long in the house when is summer, it is because the weather is so hot! Air conditioning is one of the important things in summer, I found out Discount AC Parts.com has a complete line of ac compressors for all auto models. They offers all the auto ac parts. Besides that, they also offers high quality Mercedes AC compressor and Ford ac compressor.

Today we going to visit the pleasant harbor cities of Sausalito and Tiburon, which boast arts shops and incredible views of San Francisco's skyline and the bay. After that, we drive over the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco.

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the opening of the San Francisco Bay onto the Pacific Ocean. As part of both US Highway 101 and California Route 1, it connects the city of San Francisco on the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula to Marin County. The Golden Gate Bridge had the longest suspension bridge span in the world when it was completed in 1937 and has become an internationally recognized symbol of San Francisco and California.

30th day ~ Death Valley, CA (死谷)

Today we reach Death Valley. Death Valley is one of the hottest and driest places in North America due to its lack of surface water and its low relief. On July 10, 1913, a record 134 °F (56.7 °C) was measured at the Weather Bureau's observation station at Greenland Ranch (now the site for the Furnace Creek Inn), which is (as of 2007) the highest temperature ever recorded on that continent. Daily summer temperatures of 120 °F (49 °C) or greater are common as well as below freezing nightly temperatures in the winter.

26th day ~ Capital Reef NP, UT -> Bryce Canyon NP, UT

photo from - http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2960683750050301256bSlIzN

Bryce Canyon National Park is a national park located in southwestern Utah. Contained within the park is Bryce Canyon. Despite its name, this is not actually a canyon, but rather a giant natural amphitheater created by erosion along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Bryce is distinctive due to its geological structures, called hoodoos, formed from wind, water, and ice erosion of the river and lakebed sedimentary rocks. The red, orange and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views to visitors.

Capitol Reef National Park in south-central Utah. It is 160 km long but fairly narrow. The park, established in 1971, preserves 979 km². Called "Wayne Wonderland" in the 1920s by local boosters Ephraim P. Pectol and Joseph S. Hickman, Capitol Reef National Park protects colorful canyons, ridges, buttes, and monoliths.

About 120 km of the long up-thrust called the Waterpocket Fold, extending like a rugged spine from Thousand Lake Mountain southward to Lake Powell, is preserved within the park boundary. Capitol Reef is the name of an especially rugged and spectacular part of the Waterpocket Fold near the Fremont River. The area was named for a line of white domes and cliffs of Navajo Sandstone, each of which looks somewhat like the United States Capitol building, that run from the Fremont River to Pleasant Creek on the Waterpocket Fold. The local word reef referred to any rocky barrier to travel.
