Paradise Beach is very nice beach and you may see some interesting thing in this beach.

Santorini!! (a MUST visit place!!)

Try a donkey drive, it should be fun.

In the island, ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) is a very common vehicle for the transport.
Hired ATV to go around was very fun! Must try!

Greek Pita Bread is a must eat food!! Cheap price and tasty!!

A day at beach is the great and free activity to enjoy Aegean Sea.

We found a clear water beach just for ourselve without a crowded.

While we explore around the Island, found this nice view along the route.

Naples (那不勒斯), Pompei (庞贝) & Mt Vesuvius (维苏威火山)

Before to Pompeii, I advised you to visit the Naples National Archeological Museum in Naples. This is a great museum, the important part you shouldn't miss is know more detail about Pompeii and see the huge collection of the ruined city Pompeii.

Pompeii was destroyed and completely buried during a long catastrophic eruption of the volcano Mount Vesuvius spanning two days in 79 AD. The eruption buried Pompeii under 5 to 6 meters of ash and pumice, and it was lost for nearly 1,600 years before its accidental rediscovery around 1592. Since then, its excavation has provided an extraordinarily detailed insight into the life of a city at the height of the Roman Empire. Today, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Italy. (from Wikipedia)

Take train from Naples to Pompeii. Spend half a day to walk around this huge ruined city is never be enough. Hire a audio guide is better than join a tour, cause the tour guide won't take you to all the area.

Take bus from Pompeii to Mt. Vesuvius, go to see the volcano that ruined Pompeii. You need to do a little bit hiking to see the crater, also has a great view from top.

One thing I found only in Naples. They told me is a lucky man. Buy it as souvenir.

Florence, Italy（意大利佛罗伦萨）

After Milan, my destination was Florence. Florence famous as its leather goods. The best place to shop is San Lorenze Market.

The sign stated "It's Against The Law To Buy Fake Goods". And I believe that Florence do well in here. Cos I didn't see any "Black People" walking around with pirated stuffs, as I seen in other city (2nd photo after this).

So when you visit Florence, one of the places you MUST visit is Michelangelo Square. It has a view over Florence, just amazing!

Second is Vecchio Bridge. It having shops built along it. Mean shops on the bridge; when you walk through it, you will feel like you are walking on normal street not bridge. Butchers initially occupied the shops; the present tenants are jewelers.

Duomo Square. Is a very gorgeous square. I love it among all the Duomo Square in other cities.

Santa Maria del Fiore (cathedral).

Battistero di San Giovanni (baptistery).

Another things not to miss is go up to the Cupola (dome of the Cathedral). Actually, opposite of Cathedral has Bell Tower, also can have a view on top. My choice was Dome of the Cathedral, cos it's higher. Besides that, we can experience the different experience, compared to other church's dome. That's was enjoy the inner dome from close up. Normally the lift or stairs bring you straight up to the outer dome. But dome of Santa Maria del Fiore, first will bring you to enjoy inner dome then outer dome.

Another special view, you may see locks at some tourist places. They are "Lock of Love". Locks are put there by lovers. After "locking" their love on one of the horse tethers, then immediately they have to throw the key into the Arno River to "seal" their love!

The tradition has been going on for about a decade but Florence's council officials tries to stamp out lock of love, couples years ago, when, for some reason, the number of locks started rising rapidly. Fine €160.00 to whom hang lock.

Milan, Italy (意大利米兰)

Milan famous as its Selling Branded stuffs. Except this, nothing really have much to do and see in Milan. Luckily got 2 sightseeing places that you should visit. The Duomo Cathedral and Sforzesco Castle.

Duomo Cathedral is located at Duomo Square, it's Milan’s main square. Duomo is famous as one of the largest Catholic cathedrals in the world. It's 157 meters long and has space for 40,000 people.

After visited inside the cathedral, you shouldn't miss the chance to go up to the roof, it has a great panoramic views on top and has a chance to see the amazing architectural beauties from close up.

The 14th-century Castello Sforzesco houses several of Milan's museums and art collections (the ticket isn't expensive). In 1450, the castle was reconstructed by Francesco Sforza and transformed into a ducal residence.

Ok, if you looking for shopping, then visit to these streets, Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga and Via Sant'Andrea, elegant streets that together with Via Manzoni, Via Borgospesso and Via Santo Spirito are the outer limits of the famous Fashion Quadrilatero.

Tiffany is the only shop has long line!

Venice, Italy（意大利威尼斯）

Venice, one of my dream places I wanted to visit.

Do you see any different between above gondola and below gondola. The one above is for tourist, cost +/- €150 per gondola near San Macro Square, €60 per boat if you hire the gondola out of the main tourist area. The below gondola is normally for local, just to across the canal, cost €0.50 per ride.

My favorite island - Burano Island. It's famous for its lace-making and colourful houses.

Murono Island, famous for its glass making. Visit glass factory, see how they make glass from scratch.

TIPS to Venice:
1) Kikey award "The most expensive public toilet in the world" to Venice Public Toilet. €1.50 per entry. I spent €1.00 to go toilet and have a piece of cake to eat. How?
-> I went to a bakery shop that has toilet just for customer, buy a piece of cake and use the toilet. Make sure they have toilet before you buy something from them. Or go to McD, they have free public toilet. Sometime can try the restaurant, but most of them will said, "sorry, just for customer use."

2) The masks is selling everywhere in Venice. If your Italy trip include Florence, then buy them from San Lorenzo market in Florence. The price in Florence only one third (33%) of the price in Venice.

3) If you under 29, buy transport pass with The Rolling VENICEcard. With Rolling card cost €4, you can buy 72-hour ticket with €18, the total is €22 compare to original price €31. Rolling card also has discount for some restaurants and hotels.
The original price: 12-hour ticket - €14, 24-hour ticket - €16, 36-hour ticket - €21, 48-hour ticket - €26, 72-hour ticket - €31.

4) Go to the clock tower that located at San Giorgio Maggiore Island, instead of the clock tower opposite San Marco church. It is because from that clock tower you will be able to have a view over the Venice and its normally less queue.

Singapore (Part 2)

Have been pending this post for a while now, finally done. Next post should be about Italy~

My hostel located somewhere near Little India. So I decided give this a try, dunno what is this call? :p After the lady draw on my hand, let it to dry around 20 minutes, then wash away the stuff with water.

This is how it look after washed. It can stay around 7 days.

When I go back to Penang. I showed my hand to my parents and my grandma. The first reaction from them was shocked!! (They all said the same thing, "Why you hand got burn?")

Its like a dream for me the past 2 and the half months in Malaysia. I really had fun to gather with my family members, my friends including blogger friends.

Last 2 weeks i was busy with getting myself really to come back London, many things has to be done. And now I am here in London again.

I going to have a trip to Italy and Greece around 4 weeks (4th May - 27th May). The itinerary as the picture below. I am really looking forward about this. So this week I will be busy planning for my trip.

I promised I will share more with you whenever I have time.

Gathering Tour 5 - Singapore (Part 1)

Spent 4 days in Singapore, before I head back to Penang Malaysia.

This wasn't my first time in Singapore, but is the first time I backpack to there. Stayed at youth hostel for 2 nights. Met with a lot of lovely friends.

Blogger Sharon met me at SG custom, then she take to have lunch at blogger Ah Hoon Hokkien Mee stall. So nice to meet both of them. (^.^)

After that we went to Singapore Fo Guang Shan Temple. Love the environment there!

~ Oh yah, the cute mini handbag that holding in my hand was a gift from Sharon after she see me holding all my stuffs (cell phone, purse, camera) in hands. Thanks, Sharon, I like it. (^.^)

We had afternoon tea at the temple, Water drop cafe.

We also spent a little bit time to 抄经.

Then we walked around Orchard Street. One of the great place I like is Roof Garden at Orchard Central. Can see the Singapore skyline there. Outdoor escalator to the top. It was fun. (^.^)

Sharon, met me on my last day in Singapore as well. I decided go to Singapore Casino have a look, since I no need to pay the entrance fee. Trust me, just have a look, I don't like gambling, even when I was in Las Vegas, I only played USD$1 for fun in the Tiger machine aka 老虎机 :p

After see the dress code, I went to change my short to dress. But I lazy to change my trainers. I believe I must looked funny at that time.

I still prefer the casino in our country, Malaysia Genting Highland. Bigger, nicer for the casino and weather. :)

The newly open Singapore Universal Studio. Didn't go in, cos I prefer the one in Western country. :p

Basically I think Sharon try to feed me to bigger size :p

Gathering Tour 4 - Johore

After spent couple days in mid Malaysia, I were heading south to Johore and Singapore. Normally people will said nothing in Johor Bahru, just go to Singapore.

But I disagree with it. I found some good places to go in Johore. If you wanna explore in JB also make it over Saturday night. On Saturday night they have 新山文化街 aka 陳旭年文化街. I missed this because I have to over night at Singapore.

Johor Bahru Chinese Heritage Museum (新山华族历史文化馆)
- I love this museum. I spent 2 hours in this museum, it really a good museum, I had learn a lot.

Royal Abu Bakar Museum
- It was a main palace by Johor Royal Family, now converted into a museum.

Entrance fee: Malaysian - RM5.00, Foreigner - USD$7.oo (very huge different!!)

- not allow to visit inside, but can go until in front of the big gate.
(Before this trip, I never knew that Malaysia also have fortress! I visited some fortress in foreign country as well.)

Gathering Tour 3 - Malacca

Had a day trip to Malacca from KL with Kheng Siong.
When we drive in this city, my first thought was, I Love Malacca. Love this pretty city.

I been to Malacca before, but I can't remember that has river there..

King's Well located somewhere out of town. Look at the Mandarin words, you can find some ??, I am very sure they used online translate from English. I am wonder, how could this happen in famous sightseeing place. How's the tourists from China will think about our Chinese in Malaysia? Bad impression!!!

Gathering Tour 2 - KL : Petronas Twin Towers

First of all, I need to say THANKS to 惰天使-祥 and his wife. They hosted me for 2 days in KL. They were great host, also the best tour guide and driver. They take me to Plaza Low Yat, bought my new netbook. Drive me to the places I wish to visit...

To visit to the skybrigde in between the twin towers was one of my dream since I was young. Now, my dream come true, and I need to say a BIG Thank You to 堕天使-祥 who woke up early in the morning at 6:00am to go to Petronas Twin Towers queue up around 2 hours and get us the tickets to skybridge.

Below 2 photos taken by him.
(left) 6:30am - when he told me he left the house at 6:00am, I said you must be the first one be there then. The answer is NO. I can't believe got quite a number of people earlier then him!
(right) 8:00am - more and more people queue up, and as you can see the counter still not open yet. The ticket start giving out at 8:30am.

When we got there before 11:00am, the screen show that, less than 100 tickets left and the only time to visit is in the evening.

If you wish to visit Twin Towers Skybridge, remember that you need to go there early to get the tickets, if not you will wish by the following sign.

Zaanse Schans around an hour by bus from Amsterdam town. The place you have to visit when you go to Netherlands. In summer you can see tulips. I love this place so much~~

I was trying to wear and walk with wooden shoes. Quite nice, think of buy one, but I think I'm not gonna to wear it. So I only bought mini wooden shoes as souvenir.

Amsterdam, Netherlands 荷兰阿姆斯特丹

Amsterdam is my favorite city among all the cities that I visited in my last trip. When people talk about Amsterdam. What will you think about this place? SEX? (because prostitution in Amsterdam is legal) For me I love their lovely canals, boat houses that on canals, windmill and Holland wooden-shoes.

About my trip

Sorry to my readers who have been waiting (until nearly become giraffe :p) for me to share about my trip to Benelux and Germany. I meant to share them with all of you. But after I get back to London, I was really busy (started working on the next day) and had a though week (from my UK host family and also the strange weather in London).

Ok, now start talking about my trip. On the 4th day of the trip, we were in Luxembourg, I did a very very careless and unforgiven action. I deleted all the pictures in my sister's camera memory card before I save them in my laptop. Even though I also have some photos in my camera. I still feel so guilty and sad. Until now I still didn't get the photos back yet.

Dear Londoners,

Snowing is fun and nice. But when it's snow, you guys like facing a big challenge. Why? Because you guys never prepared for snow.

Only the main road been plowed. Car couldn't drive on back road. Driving on the snow is tough. But it could be better if the road been plow.Trains and tubes was either delayed or canceled. When people couldn't drive, and the public transport also rubbish. Then how could people can get out from the house.

Side walk never been plow. How pedestrians suppose to walk? especially oldies and children!

I never faced those problems when I was in US.

Londoners oh Londoners please learn from others how to manage everything when it's snowing.

A special thing in UK - milk from milkman

The first time I knew about milkman, I was quite surprise, because I thought this might happened long time ago but not nowadays.

My host family has the milkman deliver milk 3 times a week. The milkman will leave the milk in front of the door every morning, even before we wake up from sweet dream. I always wondering, when is the milkman start working in the early morning.

This is the special milkman van, this van only has 3 wheels, I think this special 3 wheels design is prevent the milk spill when they turn right or left. But some of them use normal 4 wheels van.

Manchester Trip

Had a ride in Manchester Wheel. The ticket price is cheap £6.50 if compare to London Eye £17.50. But I think the ride is shorter.

Last weekend went to Manchester, the main reason is to meet my lovely best friend. She is a nanny after I left my previous US host family. She is having her holiday in Manchester to visit her boyfriend that study here. I am so happy to meet them.

Sorry for not updating for days, it because I have been suffering in tough days. The only thing I can do and let myself relax is watching HK TVB series.

Since you lived in US and now living in UK; which country you like the most?
I got this question from many people since I started my life in London. I didn't know how to answer this question before. But now, I am very sure to tell everyone of you, I like US more than UK.

Why?
The main reason:
American is nicer even though British famous for their polite. For me they are FAKE.

And most of the things in America is bigger than Britain.
Example:
1) Bigger streets (if you has experience drive in both country, you understand what I meant)
2) Bigger cars (because the street in Britain is narrow, so it not a good idea has a big car in Britain, that's why they invented smart car)
3) Bigger houses (I think because US got more land)
4) More places to visit (every states in US has its unique; very fun to travel and visit)
5) and etc...

My current host family didn't give me homey feeling and some misunderstanding occur between me and them; I can't wait to leave. I am counting down to go back Malaysia: count down 76 days

I have been leaving my home country Penang, Malaysia since January 2007. I will be back to Malaysia for Chinese New Year, from 8th Feb 2010 to 25th April 2010.

My friends asked me, after 25th April 2010, where will I be?
Actually I will come back to UK again. Why I decided come back UK since I am not really like UK. A main reason lead me to make this decision is I haven't finish my Europe backpacking. (My previous planning was finish travel the Europe countries before I fly home. But, if I do that, I miss the opportunity to celebrate Chinese New Year with my family. I have been missing from them 3 Chinese New Year.) So I decided to go back for Chinese New Year, after I done my year with my current host family.

The countries I visited in Europe: Ireland, France, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, and next month trip Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany. (These countries just a small percentage of the whole Europe.) So, I will come back UK earn some money, then finish my Europe dream, since my UK Working Holidaymaker Visa valid until January 2011.

In these 3 years, many things had change.

The huge change that upset me the most is mental support from my dad, from fully support to disagree my action. I am very upset about it. I do understand that a girl like me need to settle down. He worry about me. But my dream just like a drug to me, I am addicted to it. I don't want to let go.

I knew I will regret in future of either decision I make...
To settle down: I will regret why I let go my dream when I was young.
To follow my dream: I will regret when I stay single and alone after years.

Nothing is perfect in this world. Everything has its black and white...

Tree Planting

Have you ever plant a tree? I was very excited when I heard about the activity. London Fo Guang temple organized the tree-planting in cooperation with the Woodland Trust. Actually is quite hard, because the soil isn't soft. At the end, I planted 7 trees ONLY, shamed on me~ :p

Guy Fawkes Night or Bonfire Night is an annual celebration on the evening of 5 November. It marks the downfall of the Gunpowder Plot of 5 November 1605, in which a number of Catholic conspirators, including Guy Fawkes, attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament, in London, United Kingdom.

The story was:
In 1605, a group of a dozen or so used their religious allegiance as an excuse for extreme terrorist action. They attempted to blow up the government and the monarch in the Houses of Parliament but were foiled. Guy Fawkes was one of a group of plotters, he tried to assassinate King James I by plotting to blow up the House of Lords. But he had the misfortune to be caught in the act and is therefore the one most closely associated the Plot. He was hanged, drawn, and quartered. It's traditional to burn an effigy of Guy Fawkes each year on that date in the UK.

Happy Halloween

Today is Halloween, craved these 2 Jack-o-lantern for the children that I taking care.

Had been working 12 hours everyday, because they are having school holiday. Finally now is weekend, and they going back to school next week. Phew~~

Kids can not stay in the house whole day, if not they will go crazy (fighting or not behaving). So mostly I will take them to the park,and also can enjoy the fall season view. I love fall, because can see different colours leaves.

My first time tried the banana bike, quite fun~ (^.^)

We brought old bread to feed the pigeons and ducks.

Having ice cream as a treat.

Fall leaves is so nice. Love the view so much~ (^.^)

Be an Au Pair (babysitter / nanny)

Maybe some of you are my new readers, do not know more about me.

I have been an Au Pair (babysitter or nanny) since 2007. 2 years in Boston US, and now have been living in London for 8.5 months.

What are the advantages being an Au Pair?
1) Job isn't a job. (Watching TV, play, baking, go to parks & museums, go for movie with them, etc.)
2) Become a great cook. (I have to cook dinner for the children)
3) Have a nice room. (Compare to people who rented a room in London)
4) Have car to drive. (Besides drive the children to school, I can drive the car to my school, library, gym, or friend's house)
5) Can eat better foods. (My host family pay for my daily meal, normally I cook and eat with the children)
6) Go holiday for free. (My US's host family take me to vacation with them, I pay nothing)
7) Improve my speaking. (My children will correct my pronunciation)
8) Sponsor for education. (My US's host family paid USD$500 per year; the current UK's host family pay £1000 per year)
9) Learn and experience different culture with local people. (for example: British normally have fish and chip on Friday dinner and have roasted meal on Sunday dinner)
10) etc... (Of course also have some disadvantages, will discuss about it next time)

The children that I taking care are having a 2 weeks school holiday start from today. Today we baked cupcakes (forgot to take picture), and I take them to Crystal Palace Park have a picnic lunch. Today temperature is 12'C, quite cold. The park has a maze, found this pretty cool!

They are cheeky monkeys! (^.^)
Sometimes they are angle, behave and cute; sometimes they are devil and kek si wa (in hokkien).

Finland - Santa Claus's Village（圣诞老人村）

Santa Claus' Village was not in my plan before I started my trip. I changed my mind when I was reading a travel guide on one of my train rides.

Santa Claus' Village located at Napapiiri, Rovaniemi. In Lapland region of Finland. Normally people go there in Winter, especially on Christmas. That would be very very crowd.

First must visit - Santa Claus' Office
The journey to meet Santa Claus follows a one hundred-metre long Sensational Experience Corridor, with Santa’s secrets as displayed as fairytale-like elements, revealed to visitors for the very first time in the history of the world. (no pictures allow in Santa Claus Office, while you meeting Santa Claus, the elves will taking video and pictures for you, so can buy the pictures and video clip before leaving the office)

Second must visit - Santa Claus' Main Post Office

Every item mailed at the Santa Claus’ Main Post Office is postmarked by hand with a special Arctic Circle postmark. The special postmark conveys greetings to the recipient from Lapland, the Arctic Circle and Santa Claus.

2 types of postal -
First (yellow post box): the post office will send your stuffs out on the day you post.
Second (red post box): they will keep them until end of the year, and send it out before Christmas to ensure that the recipient receive it on the day of Christmas.

Norway - Flåm（弗洛姆）

Stayed at Flåm for 2 nights. Actually I was planning only stay one night, but couldn't get the Flåm Railway, because I forgot to book the ticket early. (Reminder: Get the Flåm Railway ticket early. Flåm Railway is a private railway, so train pass holder have to buy ticket to ride the train, luckily train holder can get discount.)

Norway in a Nutshell

This special route takes you on a journey through some of the most beautiful scenery in Fjord Norway, and includes breathtaking experiences on the Bergen Railway, the Flåm Railway, the Aurlandsfjord, the Nærøyfjord and the steep Stalheimskleiva road. I suggest Eurail train pass holder can do this route on your own, you will save some money compare to buy a package.

The route:
Bergen (train 2 hrs) –> Voss (bus 1 hr) –> Gudvangen (fjord cruise 2 hrs) –>
Flåm (train 1 hr) –> Myrdal (train 5 hrs) –> Oslo

The Bergen Railway
The Bergen Railway has been voted one of the world’s most beautiful train journeys. The train ride over Northern Europe’s largest mountain plateau is spectacular and varied. At Finse (altitude 1222 metres), pass the highest point on the Bergen Railway, with the blue ice of the Hardangerjøkul glacier glittering in the southwest.

The Stalheimskleiva road
A bus waits in Gudvangen, and the journey continues through the mountainous Nærøydalen valley before arriving at the spectacular Stalheimskleiva road, which twists and turns up through 13 hairpin bends offering views of the Sivlefossen and the Stalheimsfossen waterfalls. There is a short stop at the top to admire the wild panoramic beauty.

Sognefjord - Norway’s deepest and longest fjord
On the fjord cruise between Flåm and Gudvangen, sail past the beautiful village of Undredal with Scandinavia’s smallest stave church, and the mountain farm Stegen, which is situated 300 incredibly steep metres above sea level, before the boat enters the Nærøyfjord. This arm of the Sognefjord is one of the narrowest and perhaps the most dramatic fjord in Europe. The whole fjord landscape is a conservation area and is included on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

The Flåm Railway
The train journey on the Flåm Railway between Myrdal and Flåm is one of the highlights of the round trip, regardless of whether you take it up or down the wild Flåm valley. The 20 km-long train ride between the mountain station of Myrdal (altitude 866 metres) and Flåm (altitude 2 metres). On the way, can see some of the most magnifi cent mountain scenery Norway has to offer, with a shifting panorama of towering mountains and impressive waterfalls.

Kjosfossen Waterfall (above right picture and below video) is one of the waterfalls along Flam Railway, the train will stop there and we have chance to go down enjoy the view and take pictures. This is the cooler waterfall I enjoyed. Because they have dancers dance with the music. Listen carefully you will be able hear the music behind the waterfall's sound.

Norway - Bergen（卑尔根）

Bergen is my favorite town among the places that I visited in Scandinavia. I LOVE it so much. Very lovely.

Bryggen - It has seen 1979 been on the UNESCO list for World Culture Heritage sites.

Good seafoods.

Bergen(Norway) is very similar with San Francisco(USA).

Hiking at Vidden Path from Mt. Floyen to Mt. Ulriken, total 7 hours, it included rest time.
Some of the trails are really hard, I am not recommend for those who hiking with children.

Denmark - Odense（欧登塞）

When you read the title Odense town in Denmark you might don't know what is special about the town. But if I tell you is the birthplace of the writer of fairytales, H.C. Andersen (著名童话故事作家：安徒生), then you might understand why I visited Odense.

What if you don't know who is Andersen, then let me tell you some of the fairytales that he wrote, "The Little Mermaid"(美人鱼), "The Little Match Girl"(卖火柴的小女孩), "The Ugly Duckling"(丑小鸭), etc.

Visited to H.C. Andersens Museum and the house his grew up.

Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Scotland（苏格兰）

Last weekend I went to Edinburgh, Scotland. To join the event of the year, Edinburgh Military Tattoo. (Tips: Buy the ticket months before. The event takes place annually throughout August, tickets will sold out couples months before. I got the ticket on May, by the time I got the ticket it was only couple tickets left, I was so happy to get the ticket.)

Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2009 sees Scotland’s colourful military musical spectacular celebrate its 60th season, while paying tribute to the 250th anniversary of the birth of Scotland’s national bard, Robert Burns, and playing its part in Scotland’s first ever year of Homecoming.

A cosmopolitan cast of top-class talent will be present, including highlights such as the world-famous Massed Pipes & Drums, the Massed Bands of The Royal Air Force, Switzerland’s Top Secret Drum Corps, along with highland dancing, the Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, the traditional haunting notes of the Lone Piper and, in their first Tattoo appearance, the Central Band of the Swiss Army.

They came out from the castle. Basically the event is in front of the Edinburgh castle.

The castle is the background for those performances, it changed according to the performance. This background for Chinese group performance.

Denmark - Copenhagen（哥本哈根）Part 1

Among all the cities I visited in Scandinavian, Copenhagen is the least favorite town on my list. But one of the interesting area you muct visit when you travel to Copenhagen. That is Christiania.

The MUST visit place, The Freetown of Christiania.
A very unique town with a group of hippies live in there. Drugs sell openly in Pusher Street. Eccentric shops, clubs and galleries. They a little bit free from Denmark's rules.

Behind the Christiania sign is the "You are now entering the EU". I think is to warm the residents when they leaving the Freetown.

The world famous Pusher Street, where hard and soft drugs sell openly, no photos allow. When I walk through Pusher Street alone, I was a little bit worried. I was so funny as well, after my first walked, I felt that, I wanna see again, so I walked two times, even I am a bit nervous. Silly Kikey.. :p

The sentences at the bottom of this map is very interesting to seen in Freetown.

Vor Frelsers Kirke
Climb up the 400 steps of the church's 95m high spiral tower to have a panoramic view of the city across to Sweden. The last 160 steps run spectacularly along the outside rim, arrowing to the point where disappear at the top.

Try to look very closer to the picture on the right, you can see the people walking along the rim. I had visited a lot of towers before, but that was my very first time walk along the rim to the top of tower. So CoOL~~

I am back to London. Having a weekend off. Recharging my tiring to get back to work on Monday.

Above map is my 3 weeks Scandinavian route. I had some change compare to the plan before I depart. It was a nice trip. I LOVE Scandinavian. Fresh Air, Nice Places, and Nice People.

Sorry for less blogging lately, actually still have many stuffs wanna share with all of you. But, I am very busy, busy with my daily life also busy planning about my summer travel vacation. I am going to backpacking to Scandinavia (Denmark 丹麦, Norway 挪威, Sweden 瑞典, and Finland 芬兰), except Iceland 冰岛 for 3 weeks. From July 25 to Aug 14. Is only 10 more days to go, very looking forward to it!!

Besides that, the children that I taking care will be on school summer holiday starting tomorrow. I have to spend whole day with them... Will be so so tired...

Don't get surprise if you see this in my room, these all my "textbook". I like to do "homework" before I visit to somewhere. (^.^)

I have been doing "homework" for my trip since last month and I had got my Eurail Train Pass. I going to fly from London to Copenhagen,Denmark then travel around by train, after that fly back to London from Helsinki,Finland.

The following is my basic route, might change or modify when I am on the road...
I didn't plan to go to the very north, including those cities located in Arctic Circle. Because now is summer, if I want to visit there, I will choose visit in Winter.

When I was young, I love to eat Double-Decker Prawn Cracker, I always remember the advertisement on TV always have double-decker bus in it. i wasn't knew that they at London, but now I know already (^.^)

This is the current modern Double-Decker Bus you can see everywhere in London.

An international symbol of London. This iconic red double-deckers buses (Routemasters) were withdrawn from service in 2005. Good news is the beautifully refurbished Routemasters is running along two 'heritage' routes. You must try to go on when you happen travel in London.

Weekend Road Trip - Wales, UK (威尔士)

My first road trip in UK. Went to Wales last weekend. It around 4 hours drive from London.

The MUST do thing in Cambridge is punting along the River Cam.

If you don't have confident to punt it yourself (It really quite hard to control!) or you don't want to punt and want to relax and take pictures, then you can join a punting tour. The punter also a tour guide.

I asked the tour guide let me try to punt. He was teaching me some skills.

After he taught me some techniques. He let me punt by myself. It was so fun!!

My days in UK (Host Family)

This few days London having a very nice weather. Yesterday 29°C, today 27°C, but tomorrow going to drop to 17°C. London's weather is very very crazy, unpredictable.

Last Sunday I went to the Dymchurch Beach with my host family, the beach is 1.5 hours away from our house.

They was having half term holiday last week, so I take them to the park.

Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle located out of London, travel by train is around 1 hour. Quite nice, but the entrance ticket quite expensive. Adult ticket: £15.50 , if you are student also need £14.00.

Windsor is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and the Official Residence of Her Majesty The Queen. Its rich history spans almost 1000 years. Windsor Castle still a working royal palace. It's famous about Queen Mary's Dolls House and State Apartments.
